Tea Time Tuesday
Okay, I'm back in action and ready to roll, I know I've been away for a minute but I'm also an event planner with a large baby shower coming up very soon and it's really been taking all of my extra time and I do mean all (will keep you posted on that in the upcoming months) but nevertheless I'm over due for a post and Friday couldn't be a better place to start. Remember when I told you about my obsession with the TAG Heuer Formula 1 watch, well I still don't have it but thanks to my husband I have a great stylish substitute, it's by Anne Klein and I love it, it's stylish and fabulous and it was a fraction of the cost weighing in at $395 (ooooh yeah!). So I think I can scratch the Tag formula 1 watch off my wish list, thanks to my wonderful husband.

Tea Time Tuesday: e.l.f
No tea today but coffee with hazelnut creamer.
I confess I've been slacking on my post but a girl has been quite busy lately nevertheless I'm going to do better, I promise. Now on with this weeks Tea Time Tuesday post, by now I'm sure you've all heard about e.l.f the cosmetics company that sells great products for very, very reasonable prices I'm talking items as low as $1.00 I mean really, what can you buy for a buck these days? e.l.f has tons of items from cosmetics, bath products to make up tools that will help you with all of your beauty needs. Now, I must admit when I first heard of them and their low prices I was a bit skeptical about their product quality but they have made a believer out of me. I'm so in love with their eye primer this stuff really, really works it's sheer and you apply it over your eye area let dry then apply your eye shadow it helps with the creasing and fading of your eye shadows. I wore it the past Sunday and I embarrassingly admit that I sweat across my forehead but this stuff held up when I made it home and looked in the mirror I was expecting my eye shadow to be a hot mess but it was as fresh as when I applied it that morning. I was really impressed I couldn't wait to share it with you. If you love eye shadow and are in need of a great primer please don't waste your money on those high end eye primers on the market instead head over to e.l.f and pick up their eye shadow primer your eyes will love it and your wallet will too, this primer sells for a crazy $3.00 this is crazy! pick up 2 or 3 because you will love it. Leave me a comment if you've tried this product or any of e.l.f products I would love to hear from you.

Tea Time Tuesday: Lip Mixer
Flavor of the day: Lipton Lemon Ginseng Green Tea (yum!)
I am so excited about my recent discovery. I've known of Milani Cosmetics for at least a few years and I've tried several of their products here and there but my latest find is the jackpot I have been in search of a great looking lip gloss that gives me the right amount of shine with just the right amount of color and these Milani Lip Mixers are just what I needed. I picked up #702 Lip Mix is the name of the color and I absolutely Love It! I don't know what it is with me lately but I can't find a lipstick that I like once I decide I'm going to put on lipstick for the day when I try it on it looks way to heavy, it's like too much. I have to work on that because I've always been a lipstick type of girl. So if you are in need of a new lip gloss check out these Lip Mixers and let me know what you think.
I Love this stuff!

Maybelline Showdown
The fact that it's Monday has nothing to do with this post I simply had nothing else fitting for today so I thought this would be good. I never leave home without my mascara, never! if I'm running to the store for a quick run or to the gym I always put on mascara. Even though I love the stuff I didn't think it was a big deal until I bought the Colossal mascara by Maybelline at Wal-Mart it was okay but it smudged so bad I could not stand looking like a raccoon for one more day. I returned it, yes I returned it in exchange for Falsies mascara and I'm so glad I did this stuff really works and the waterproof is just that, waterproof I Love, Love, Love it. If you are in need of mascara that gives you full long lashes, that really make your eyes "POP", and doesn't have you walking around with raccoon eyes this is for you. You will love the results and for $6.00 you can't beat it. What's you favorite/worst mascara ? I would love to know.
The winner Maybelline Falsies!

If you are anything like me I'm sure you have more than one make-up case to toss in your handbag. But for some reason I can't get enough of these much needed little pouches even when I call myself getting one a little larger it never seems to be big enough. Make-up cases have come a long way and are just as stylish as some of the cutest clutches. I have even seen people carry them as clutches. However you decide to use yours make sure you choose one that will best fit your need and style, No matter how cute it may be if it's not functional you won't use it. Cosmetic cases come in several sizes and every price range from your local drug store to high end designers. So go ahead pick up your mascara, lip gloss, compacts and case them up, being organized never looked so good. Tell me what are you casing your cosmetics in I would love to know.

Friend Friday: Copying in the Fashion Industry
You know the drill it's Friday and Katy of Modly Chic, had me scratching my head on this weeks questions have you ever purchases or worn a knockoff item, it's ok I'm sure most of us have and for sure we've copied music or have seen a bootleg DVD. (yeah) This weeks questions are all about the knockoff and the copying of designer originals, Leave me a comment I want to hear you take on this.
1. Which side do you take… Copycat designs are a way for the average consumer to stay current and wear runway styles without breaking the bank OR Copycat designs take business from the designer and cheapen the value of their work. Explain.
I would have to say I am sort of in the middle and the reason why I say in the middle is because I think it is ok if you want to own a gown like celebrities wear on the red carpet for a very special event you may be attending and you're willing to pay a few hundred dollars for your outfit but not several thousand I feel this is ok. There are companies that have contracts to actually duplicate these gowns even moments after they are seen on the red carpet so it seems to me this would be fine you are paying for it and it is not being worn for instance as a Chanel but was inspired by Chanel and the company that made it name is on the label so I don't think there is anything wrong with that in this type of situation, but when you are flat out wearing an outfit as a designer and it's clearly a knockoff and a bad one at that, this to me is up to the individual I would rather wear a good non-designer garment that's well made than wearing an item that's not authentic but again it's up to the individual.
2. Sometimes we do things, even if they are unethical or illegal (downloading music for free, watching full movies on YouTube). Do you think it is unethical for a designer to copy a vintage piece, make it current and sell it?
I think it is unethical for someone to take every aspect of someone's work and pass it off as their own, reason being it took that person time and their creative abilities to create a piece of work in which they were inspired to create and for someone to come and take that it and pass it of as their own and benefit/profit from it, is unfair in my opinion. If you're inspired by someone's work at least pull from their original work and add your own creative touches to create something totally different, then you can truly say I was inspired by (_________) when I created this piece, vintage or not.
3. Would you buy an items that is a very well done copy of a runway garment if it fell within your budget?
I do not like Knockoffs period, I will save, beg, drops hints to my husband, do whatever before I buy a knockoff, because they usually look like they are knockoffs or have been knocked off of something when you inspect the quality. I feel it is a waste of money because they typically don't last long a friend of mine has a few of those knockoff designer handbags and the straps look like thin belts, they are fraying and cracking all over the place. Not Pretty.
4. According to the fashion laws, at least in the US, apparel design is seen as too utilitarian to qualify for copyright protection. Would you think this is detrimental to the industry or beneficial. (Check out this video on The Taxonomy of My Wardrobe to get a better idea of this concept: http://taxonomyofmywardrobe.blogspot.com/2010/08/fashion-and-copyright-laws.html)
Detrimental, no I don't feel it is simply because of a point Tom Ford bought up in the video, designers especially high end designers such as your Prada's, Donatella Versace, Michael Kors ect.. the clientele that patronize them are loyal and will always buy their brand no matter what, so they have a built in clientele market that will always support their work and purchase their product period, and these clients are who these designers cater to, the individual that is able to afford and appreciate their clothes and support their brand and this is who they target, they are not targeting that market that's quick to buy knockoffs because it looks like and original and they can afford it. Each market ,the designer market and the knockoff market both have their target audiences to support them.
5. Own up… share the things in your closet that is a knock off. You know those things you got in China Town, on the streets of New York, or where ever.
Don't own any clothing that is a knock off that I know of however ,I did have a fake Rolex years ago when in college a friend got for me in New York it lasted for about 3 months before tarnishing so bad it was pitiful. and a blue denim LV handbag it was a gift and I can't seem to part with it for real (*side eye*)
One time when I went through my EBay phase I ordered what I thought was Be Delicious by DKNY and I paid a good price for it too, when it arrived it was in it's original box and wrapped in that clear paper as if I purchased from any cosmetics counter in the mall, so I opened what I thought was a new bottle of perfume and when I sprayed it on it leaked and ran all over the place needless to say it was 90% water ,Yeeess! I did not know you could knockoff and copy perfume but to my surprise it can be done. So you just never know .

Mr. President, I love what you've done to the place !
If you haven't heard by now President and First lady Michelle Obama recently had the oval office redone while away on vacation and what a great job their team has done. It is customary that every President gets the luxury of making over certain areas of the White House to make it feel comfy during there stay including the Oval Office. It is also safe to say that most of us get excited when we get a chance to glimpse into the lives of "famous" people especially our President, to see how they live and the interiors of their homes. The Obama's are known for their timeless style and great taste and this certainly carries over in the Oval office with it's rich brown and tan hues that spread throughout the office. My favorite part of the room hands down, I would have to say is the rug with the famous Presidential seal in the center and completely surrounding the rug are some of President Obama's favorite quotes by past presidents, as well as civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr. this is truly the statement piece of the room the wheat, cream and blue colored rug was made and donated by the Scott Group, an American carpet manufacturer based in Grand Rapids, Michigan the quotes that surround the rug are:
- “The Only Thing We Have to Fear is Fear Itself” – President Franklin D. Roosevelt
- “The Arc of the Moral Universe is Long, But it Bends Towards Justice” – Martin Luther King, Jr.
- “Government of the People, By the People, For the People” – President Abraham Lincoln
- “No Problem of Human Destiny is Beyond Human Beings” – President John F. Kennedy
- “The Welfare of Each of Us is Dependent Fundamentally Upon the Welfare of All of Us” – President Theodore Roosevelt

I think this room is anything but ordinary it looks comfortable, relaxing yet chic and stylish at the same time, Love it! Hail to the Chief and his new oval office. What do you think?

Animal Magnetism
Animal print seems to be everywhere and for some of us having an entire outfit in animal print can be a bit much. Since animal prints can be a bit overwhelming why not try adding a few pieces into your wardrobe to gradually get you use to the idea. There are a lot of great shoes out this season that have tastefully incorporated the animal print concept Nine West has done a great job with there animal print collection and I'm sure there are countless others out there waiting to be discovered. If you're the type who is not big on such drastic prints try small options like maybe a cell phone case or coffee mug, or try what I love to do, buy a scarf in animal print and tie it on the side of your handbag this adds instant chic and makes a nice statement. I'm looking this fall to make my animal print statement in shoes and a nice scarf to add to the side of my handbag(s). Take a look at a few things I put together to give you a few ideas on how you can add some animal magic to your style, hope you are inspired and remember just a little bit of animal print goes along way. Let me know how you get your animal print on!

Friend Friday: Fall Fashion
It’s that time again yeeah! It’s Friday and you know what happens on Friday I answer question sent out by Katy of Modly Chic on various topics it’s a way for bloggers to share and get to know each other all at the same time. This weeks questions are pertaining to fall fashion can you believe it?Fall will soon be here. Have you started thinking about your fall wardrobe yet ?
1. What new fashion trend are you looking forward to sporting this fall?
I’ve never been big on belts, however the fashion trends this year have show cased a lot of belts along with cardigan type sweaters and twin sets thinking on giving this look a try.
2. Which item in your closet is most likely to be your go-to transition piece?
I have to say my fitted denim jacket, I dress it up by maybe adding a huge flower pin, a scarf, I also pair it with pants, dresses, you name it my denim jacket has severe frequent flyer miles, I use it for everything it’s classic and never goes out of style.
3. What item from last year are you looking forward to reinventing this fall?
I have this green and tweed page boy style hat/cap It was an impulse buy that I ended up loving, looking forward to see what I can pair it with this fall for some great looks.
4. What is your favorite part about this time of the year?
Since I live in Florida first and foremost I would have to say the cooler temperatures (I hate the heat) really in my opinion we don’t have a lot of really cold days, it will be cold in the mornings but around noon you are taking off clothing, at least I am. Fashion wise I love, love, love boots so I’d have to say being able to incorporate more boots into my wardrobe.
I don’t have any scheduled in my planner as of yet, however I am always on the look out for fashion shows/events. Last year I was invited to attend a fall fashion show but do to other obligations I was un able to attend if I’m given the same opportunity this year trust me I will be there camera in hand.

Lemons anyone?
I love accessories all types, necklaces, rings, earrings, watches , pendants you name if it's an accent I can use to enhance an outfit or complete a look I will buy it and most definitely use it, accessories for me is like the icing on the cake. My latest obsession is the color yellow bold colors and patterns have been the trend for a lot of designers this year and when I came across this yellow Fossil watch and Nine West ring I had to have them. Long gone are the days when everything had to match, you can safely and fashionably go against the grain by picking an accessory or accessories that are in a completely different color pallet than your outfit, scale and proportion now, are the key. Make it a point to look for watches and accessories outside of the typical silver or gold tones there are so many great style to choose from in every price range have fun, try them on and add a little color to that wrist, a little "POP" of color goes a long way. The next time you decide to pick up a few accessories reach for a little color whether it be blue, green, purple or yellow let it express your extraordinary style. By the way my four year old daughter Leah couldn't resist as I was taking photos for this post she had to show off her lemon yellow sprinkle ring yes... Sprinkle ring, thanks Leah!

Tea Time Tuesday: Christian Louboutin, NOT!
Feet of: SJP as Carrie Bradshaw Sex in the City II shoes by Christian Louboutin
Now I know most of you ladies out there would love to have a pair of Christian Louboutin's in your closet if you don't already (I don't, but one day) but really who has several hundred dollars to part with for one pair of shoes right now, in this economy please! but hold on a minute maybe you don't have several hundred lying around in your shoe fund but you sure do have ninety for those of you who fall in the latter category Steve Madden has the answer. I love great shoes and I have grown to love this brand not only for the great styles but also for the comfortable fit. Yes, style is a big factor when buying shoes but nothing sells me more than a great fit. These shoes when I saw them took my breath away with their glittery, sparkly, extraordinary, goodness not only can these shoes be worn to a black tie event but really with just about any outfit if styled correctly imagine them with a great pair of jeans, a cute tee and blazer/jacket, or a cute wrap dress, I mean the possibilities are endless. I spotted these in Macy's a few months ago for $98.00 and passed them up and I'm so glad I did because while school shopping with my daughter in Ross Dress for Less I stole them for a mere $25 I could not believe it and that freed up a few coins for a Chai tea at Starbucks now take that Carrie Bradshaw LOL!!!!

Nothing Ordinary Find
I'm at it again this time though it's a find from South Carolina, that's right no matter where I go my eyes are always open for an extraordinary find. As I stated earlier in the previous post my husband and I went out of town for a quick weekend trip to visit his family, and like every other time I go out of town I took a little time to get out, look around and do a little shopping, you know how we do, in hopes of finding something a little different you can't find at home. As my sister in law and I ventured out we stopped by South Carolina Thrift & Resale Store in Mt. Pleasant, I love to stop into thrift stores and consignments because you can find the best hidden treasures, and right when we were about to leave guess what I spotted on the counter this cute, mint condition cigar box tote it was just sitting there I picked it up, gave it a detailed look and in the check out line I went my total cost for this extraordinary find you ready?... $1.60 ! I was ready to go home after I found the deal of the day. Shopping!.....Check ! take me home no need to look any further. Let me know what's your best out of town thrift find?

Friend Friday: Conspicuous Consumption
Wow another Friday has rolled around and this week Katy of Modly Chic has sent out an interesting set of questions concerning conspicuous consumption you know when you buy expensive services and products in order to flaunt your wealth here is what I had to say about that.
1. Do you think fashion blogs are often just conspicuous consumption? Are some?
No, I don’t, I’m sure out there among the million of blogs there is a blog based solely on this but for the most part I think most fashion bloggers write about what that would normally purchase, what they desire to have or already own and that’s the beauty of the a blog being able to express your purchases, ideas, hobbies etc..with your readers.
2. As bloggers do we have the obligation to explain our personal financial status, how we pay for the things we showcase, if we have debt, etc... ?
As far as having an obligation to disclose your personal financial history that’s based on the blogger. me personally I don’t feel an obligation to discuss how I obtain the things I purchase, however I often disclose if it was a gift, a splurge purchase ect. but this information is relative for the readers in case they are interested in purchasing items posted. If I were doing a blog on finance I would give details about debt (everyone should know their spending limits) I don't, so I feel no need to go there. I feel my readers visit my blog for inspiration and ideas and that’s what I provide.
3. Critics often say that fashion bloggers should use their money to support more worthwhile causes than clothing themselves in a different outfit daily. What's your reaction to this? (here you can reveal charities if you'd like.)
Well, you know what they say about critics (lol) I don’t give that much thought there is always going to be someone to criticize what you should be doing but the truth of the matter is most of the blogs I follow, the bloggers thrift shop (which I do as well from time to time) or simply comment on the latest fashions and designs by showing images from the web or magazines. I personally donate things to charity such as the Goodwill and to my church but I did this before I blogged. I guess the people who collect model airplanes which can be a pricey hobby) could donate that money they were saving for those new propellers to charity too, hum! (*side eye*)
4. Since you started blogging, do you spend more money on fashion and beauty products?
No, not really a lot of the things I post are things that I just ran across while out shopping or was looking to buy anyway. I do research more before I make certain purchases now, and if it’s something I really have my eyes on I drop a lot of hints to the family especially the to the hubs or I save towards them neglecting those Starbucks chai tea’s here and there really adds up.
5. Life is about more than what money can buy. What are the things that top your list of what life is all about
My family and my faith top my list of what life is all about as long as I have these two things everything else will be just find. My family loves and supports me and my faith sustains and strengthens me so no matter what I may face or how much or little I may have I will be okay, what more could a girl ask for.

Low Country Style
This past weekend my husband and I went to South Carolina for a quick weekend visit with his family. Now anytime I go out of town for a quick weekend trip no matter how short, I always try to make time for a little shopping even if I'm on a budget, I simply enjoy getting out there amongst the locals and seeing what's available in the various shops and what's on trend in the area, and this trip was no different. While browsing around in the beautiful city of Mt. Pleasant with my sister in law Trina, she suggested we stop by this hair salon/accessories boutique. Now you know what I was thinking right, hair salon? but I'm so glad she did Bev's Hair Supplies & Beauty Salon is much more than your ordinary hair salon they offer way more than hair care products and hair styling services but also specialize in beautiful unique accessories such as rings, bracelets, earring/necklace sets, delicate clutch bags and much more they have accessories for every budget and price range. I was like a kid in a candy store so you know I did not leave empty handed, but left with a gorgeous necklace and earring set (so happy☺). So the next time you’re visiting South Carolina’s Low Country make sure you make your way to Mt. Pleasant and stop by Bev’s Hair Supplies & Beauty Salon located Hwy 17 North in Mt. Pleasant hours: M-F 10 am- 7 pm and Sat:8:30 am – 7 pm or contact directly @ 843/881-2787. (Sorry they don’t have a website yet) Thanks Bev and much success !

Watch out there now!
It goes without saying that I love watches I mean, I think having a nice timepiece speaks volumes about ones style , so needless to say I own several watches from all different price ranges. I choose watches based on how they look and how well they are made, and I rarely leave home regardless of where I'm going without a watch. When I'm looking for a watch or choosing to purchase a watch, of course a comfortable fit is high on the priority list but I did not think I would be lusting over another watch this soon. Last year I pestered my husband to the brink of death for a ceramic watch and as always he came through with flying colors but when I ran across this watch from Tag Heuer my heart melted it's their Formula 1 ceramic and diamond watch. I want this watch in a major way it is absolutely beautiful, BEAUTIFUL ! and it would look so lovely on my wrist, If I only had $1,500.00 to blow, because if I did this this timepiece would be well worth it. I love this watch and I would be happy to answer anyone asking, What time is it?

Friend Friday: Privacy in the Blogosphere
It's Friday and by now you are familiar with the Friend Friday questions sent out by fellow blogger Katy of Modly Chic this week it's all about privacy.
1. Do you think privacy is something we should worry about as bloggers?
No, not really because it’s up to you to decide how much you want to release to your audience therefore I feel you can control how much or how little you reveal about yourself.
2. Do you use your real name or a pen name? What was behind that decision?
I use my real name most of the time
3. How much personal information do you reveal about your life beyond the blog?
I pretty much keep it relative to my blog but this is not to say that if I felt lead to share something other than the norm I would not share something more, for me when I sit down to drop a post it depends on a few things and the way I’m feeling at the moment plays a big part in the tone of the post, so if I’m feeling a bit sentimental, excited or however I feel it would determine what and how I post.
4. What will you never reveal?
Believe it or not this is a hard question but the first thing that comes to mind is my kids, we have two daughters and I will never give up much information about them.
5. As bloggers, we have to an extent made ourselves 'public' figures. But still there are things that are intimate to each of us that does not need to be known by anyone that stumbles across our blog. How do you determine what is appropriate for public consumption and what is private to you?
Since I have yet to really post a lot of pics of myself in my blog (which I will be doing in the upcoming months) I really haven’t given this much thought, but as I stated earlier my children are really the only thing I will not give much detail on. I give great consideration before posting on my family as well, my husband is very supportive of my blog but I would be very cautious about posting content concerning my family.
If you would like to participate in Friend Friday head on over to Modly Chic for further details.

Nothing Ordinary Finds
Nothing makes me happier more than finding a great fashion treasure. I mean when I luck up and find a great vintage piece or a great find in a consignment shop, Goodwill or anywhere else for that matter, I feel like I just pulled off a heart surgery without any complications, It totally makes my day and I feel Greeeeat! My latest finds I have to say are extraordinary for two reasons one I paid less than $8.00 for both pieces yeaaah! And two they are in mint condition. The first find is a black shoulder/clutch evening bag I found in my local Goodwill it was just hanging there waiting for me. It’s in mint condition and can be worn on the shoulder or as a clutch by inserting the chain strap on the inside pocket of the bag (I will utilize as a clutch) this bag is perfect for any of your after five dresses or evening formal attire, just a great bag to add to your handbag collection and I paid….drum roll please $2.14 taxes included I’m so happy can’t you tell?
The second item I'm also thrilled about because if you don’t know by now I love anything that’s unusual and unordinary and this Burberry inspired cookie jar stole my heart literally. I mean what else could you possibly need if you are a fashion lover who lives for all things style than a Burberry inspired cookie jar right? That’s what I thought to0, and I picked this up at none other than ROSS, I could not believe my eyes and it was on the clearance counter for are you ready for this? $3.99 I’m telling you God was smiling on me this day.
Two great items, two great prices what else could a girl ask for. Take your time and stop into places you wouldn’t ordinarily shop and you may walk in on some great items, when it comes to the shopping game no place for me is off limits and it’s on those days I find my greatest treasures for the best price. What’s your latest find?Friday, July 30, 2010
Friend Friday: Jealousy
TGIF! Friend Friday is at it again with another great topic, and this week is know different Katy of Modly Chic has sent out another great round of questions and this week it's Jealousy, you know that Green -eyed monster we've all had our run in's with, tell me how do you deal with Jealousy?
1. How do you define jealousy?
When you desire something that belongs to someone else e.g relationships, career, talents etc.. anything someone else has that you wish were yours /or belonged to you.
2. When do you find you experience a bit of blogger jealousy?
When fellow bloggers receive free products and items to review. Just a little bit, but in a good way *smile*
3. What types of blogs or which bloggers are you a little jealous of.
None really, I am happy when I see fellow bloggers do well there is enough to go around for everyone.
4. From the time we're little we are taught that jealousy is a bad thing, but it can also inspire us to be better. Have you changed the way you do things, the content of your blog, etc... as a result of what someone else is doing?

Oh, how I love a cute bag!
Okay ladies lets face it, we all love a nice new handbag the smell of fresh leather, a nicely lined interior, deep pockets to hold our possessions and a beautifully embellished exterior with just the right bells and whistle ... like zippers, studs, rhinestones you know whatever you like and when you find it, you know it's the right bag and wearing it always makes you happy, I mean really happy and my latest bag purchase truly makes me happy its from Nicole Lee and can be found in exclusive stores such as Nordstrom BP, Arden B., Windsor, Stein Mart, Cache, and thousands of fine boutique shops throughout the state and abroad and retails from around $50-$120. A great bag with enough room to hold just about anything with a lot of style to boot. I love this bag and it's my latest fashion find. What's your latest find?

2. Do you have a workout routine? What's your favorite way to workout?
Sure, there is so much great workout gear available in great styles to accommodate every shape and size to make you feel pulled together and girly while you workout.
5. What do you think about the people who are workout obsessed? (You know those women and the gym that spend 4 hours working out and have more muscles than some men.)
I think if fitness is your passion and making your body look and feel the way you want, good for you we all have our passions and different things that drive us and bring us fulfillment so if working out is your thing just like Nike say’s Just Do it!

Friend Friday: Mix and Match
1. What's your most versatile piece of clothing?
My short sleeved shift dresses I have several in different colors. How do you wear it? I pair them with jackets, scarves, blazers and different accessories.
2. What one piece should every woman own? A great denim Jacket this may sound crazy but a cute denim jacket can add wonders to any wardrobe it immediately adds chic in my opinion, I own several in all shades from dark blue denim to stressed and faded, I wear them year round paired with dresses or with a long layered skirt and crisp tee and lace up sandals I simply add a broach. Or huge flower pin or anything I can attach to punch it up.
3. What Summer trends do you love because of their versatility? Colorful sundresses and the gladiator inspired flats/sandals I'm really into the long summer sundresses especially strapless ones with the strapless I can play with so many different accessories from my small delicate tiffany pieces to my big bold bib necklaces and chunkier pieces,I can dress them up or down I have variety which works best for me because I'm constantly changing my style.
4. What's the most creative combination you've put together from your closet? My husband and I went to St. Louis last year on a mini vacation and I packed a few items short so I was forced to pull something together from what I had for our last night out. I had a black pair of wide leg Jersey knit pants and a black knee length jersey knit dress (had no idea I would be wearing them together)with flared sleeves I topped it with vintage inspired gold and bronze colored jewelry and matte bronze Nicole shoes, my husband wanted to know when did I get the outfit, little did he know it was a last minute hookup that totally worked And I was complimented by everyone the entire night.
5. If you had the guts you'd what items would you pair and then wear out in public? I have this very colorful night gown that I would love to wear as a shirt dress under a cute blazer it's made out stretch jersey fabric on a black back ground with bold colors I love it because it's bold and bright I can see it paired with wedges and my mid sleeve black jacket for a cute little outfit.
What is you favorite mix and match outfit?, get in your closet and as Tim Gunn would say "Make it Work"
