Love is in the Air

Ok, it’s that time of the year again when we express our love to that special some one in our life, what am I talking about? That would be Valentine’s Day of course. Valentine_Day_Cookie_Bouqut_173Now I know some of you may be thinking Valentine’s Day is so commercial and so over rated and in some cases this may be true but for those of us who are hopeless romantics and still get into the Valentine’s Day thing, read on. If you are in search of something to do for your sweetheart this Valentine’s that’s more than your typical flowers and candy here is a few ideas we thought would help. It’s not so much what you give but the thought that was put into it. Come on ladies and men too for that matter doesn’t it just thrill you to no end when someone has purposely planned something just for you. Yeah, that’s what I’m talking about a little thoughtful planning goes a long way. Here are a few things you can do this Valentine’s for your sweetie regardless of your budget. Do something different or go somewhere you wouldn't ordinarily go like a theme park, dinner theater or comedy club make it fun, find a spot during the evening  when the moment is right to give your gift it doesn't have to be an entire dozen of flowers to have impact but maybe one exotic flower wrapped in silk ribbon brought out by the waitress at some point during the evening, and ladies give your man flowers they love this, flowers are not gender specific okay! Budget a bit tight, call a sitter (or mom) make arrangements for the kiddies and plan a themed night at home from the menu to your attire, move the furniture and  have a romantic dinner on the floor by candle light. It’s all about stepping outside of the box and becoming creative. One more thing if you can’t by a gift make a special playlist of your favorite songs for your sweetie  and add them to their iPod or burn to a cd this a sweet gift that anyone would love. Married couples do something different, daring and unexpected, those of you in committed relationship the same applies and for the singles especially the single ladies host a girls night  pull together your closest friends together and have a spa night with drinks, hor d'oeuvres and of course chocolates whatever you do enjoy yourself and remember you can have a great stylish Valentines married or single. Happy Valentine’s!
