Bad Weather, really bad!

Hey just wanted to post a quick little note to let you guys know what's up, Central Florida is having severe weather warnings and today we have been issued a Tornado watch, limbs are down some people have lost the roofs from their homes it's pretty bad so keep us in your prayers btw I have to do a post on the weirdest place you've ever posted to your blog because using a customers laptop at your local 7-11 has to be one of the weirdest, thanks Peter so you know how much I love you guys Just like the mail man no rain, no sleet, nor snow will stop this blogger. Spring has Sprung and Nine West get's it!

 

I love shoes, I mean really, love shoes like most women right? but these killer Nine West 70's Platforms are the joint! I love the two tone color pattern and I like the fact that they have a chunkier heel which means  comfort to me. I can see these being worn with a  summer dress or a cute pair of jeans cuffed with a great tee and jacket. Anyway you work these hot little numbers I guarantee you come up a winner. Note to self add Nine West 70's platforms to my must have list for summer. It is important that you find a great shoe for this summer that you love and are comfortable.  When searching for that great pair of shoes make sure they have some color stay away form the basic black and white if possible and get a hot shoe that speaks to your style.

Sally Hansen Nail Effects, me Likey!

TGIF! I am so ready for the weekend this has been a very busy week. I have a few events to attend this weekend and I am looking forward to them. I also intend on hitting a few thrift shops. Spring is here and I am ready to get out and about anyway I have been itching to try the Salon Effects by Sally Hansen and yesterday I finally sat down and gave them a whirl and I am so glad I did, they apply very easily just peel, stick and file they give a great salon look for a fraction of the cost they retail for $8.50- 9.00 and can be found at most drug stores Target or WalMart when you have a chance give them a try and let me know what you think.

Extraordinary Style: Elizabeth Taylor

 

Elizabeth Taylor is no longer with us she passed away yesterday from congestive heart failure she was 79 years young and will be greatly missed and this post is in remembrance of Elizabeth Taylor.

Elizabeth Taylor did everything big in her life from her successful acting career, to her collection of magnificent jewelry  and her great sense of style. Elizabeth Taylor was anything but ordinary she lived life to the fullest by doing things her way, a classic beauty with extraordinary style, RIP Elizabeth Taylor a class act.

Tea Time Tuesday:Iman Skincare System, I Love this stuff!

 

 

Hey everybody, hope all had a great weekend it seems they fly by faster every week, the saga continues with my quest for that darn iPad 2 so I think I'll just stick with the original. I am currently doing well on my quest to a healthier me however I really need to get back into the gym I'm taking it one day at a time and enjoying the process along the way. I wanted to share with you all today one of my favorite skincare products it's by Iman Cosmetics and it really works it's the Time Control Liquid Assets Gentle Foaming Cleanser and this stuff is great for taking off your make up and leaving your skin nice and refreshed, one of the many things I like about this product is the foam action you put a little on your face, rub it in, and wash it off, it's that simple and you can do this everyday without harming your skin. Since I've started using this product my skin has drastically improved  and it's a daily part of my skincare routine now if I can just throw in the 6-8 hours a sleep a night I'd be on to something (smile) What's your favorite skincare product?

Scents of Spring

Spring is only a few days away and I can hardly wait the thought of freshly budding flowers and green leaves when I step outside makes me feel happy and excited with anticipation of summer. Like most women I love a great perfume and today I thought I would share two of my favorite spring/summer fragrances. I fell in love with Nina Ricci two years ago when my husband gave it to me for Valentines Day  I truly love this scent and always get a ton of compliments when I wear it, another scent I can't get enough of  that's perfect for a spring day is YSL Parisienne  this perfume has just enough  sweetness and my husband really likes this one, this perfume actually helped me land my iPad with the hubs lol! (you guys figure that one out). If you haven't tried these perfumes please do so the next time you're out in the mall I think you just might fall in love. Tea Time Tuesday: Apple, Really?!!

I am sorry guys I was so distraught I was unable to post on yesterday, I Hope everyone had a great weekend mine was stressful and let me tell you why, how about Apple had my husband and I running all over the city of Orlando trying to find that darn iPad 2 that I have been waiting for since last year. We searched everywhere Apple stores, Wal Mart, Target, Best Buy you name it, not only did we search I called every store in Florida and no iPad 2 yet. My husband did get me the first generation which was nice but I wanted the 2 so I have yet to open this one and 15 days to locate the iPad 2 before I'm stuck with the first one for good so Thanks Apple! and yes the search continues. What's your take on the iPad ? I want to know and yes my name is Natashia an I'm a Appleholic. Have a great day!

Happy Friday: Yeeeah ipad 2 is here!

 

Happy Friday ! I am so excited I can hardly contain myself and why all the fuss, I'm glad you asked I have been waiting for Apple's release  of the ipad 2 for months, I have talked about it to everyone and anyone with ears. My husband is to the point if anyone starts to say something and it seems as if it starts with and I, he starts shaking and breaking out in sweats that's just how much I've been talking about it. Today at 5 pm the ipad 2 goes on sale I could not be happier and my husband can't either. I may just wait until next week when all of the apple junkies have fed their obsession before the hubs and I venture out for mine. I don't know what this obsession I seem to be having with Gucci lately  but their  ipad case is the Hot! I have to have this case  simply because I think it's extraordinary. Spring Cleaning

Happy Thursday one day left until the weekend and the long awaited release of the ipad 2 (for me anyway) woo hoo! I can wait to get my hands on that thing. Anyway, enough of my madness not really much to report today because for the last 2 days i've been cleaning out my closet (Lordhavemercy) and trying to organize, you know putting winter clothes and shoes away and pulling out  items for spring, and you know this is just to take inventory so I can buy more right? I am a jewelry girl without a shadow of a doubt, I am crazy without a watch,  at least two rings and some sort of bracelet on my wrist everyday. Tea Time Tuesday: It's time for some changes!

I was a little hesitant about posting this but decided at the last minute why not. I recently had a birthday and I promised myself that If God allowed me another year of life I would really take better care of myself, now I know you're probably thinking what is she talking about well you know how we dress everything up on the outside and lose focus on eating right exercising as we should and neglect to take the time of our skin, I mean really take care of yourself from the inside out. Well I started  my journey today and I want to stick with it and Lord knows I can certainly drink water, so today's post is more of an announcement I guess you could say to a healthier me. Stay tuned for the journey from time to time I'll throw in a post to let you know how I'm doing ........Here I go.    

My, My Monday's

 

My how the weekend flew by, hope everyone had a great weekend mine was quite relaxing. I'm trying very hard to tell myself I love Monday's, say it til you believe it...yeah right. I did not get out this weekend at all to do any shopping except for Macy's online but I did take the time to look through a few magazines I bought weeks ago but never had a chance to look through (don't you hate that) when I came across this heart stoppers from Joe's Jeans, these waxed leather wedges make me drool! can't you  just picture these paired with a pair of  denim capri's   with a cute spring top, these are definitely being added to my spring shopping list their just to0 Haute! Well that's all on my plate for today ready to tackle this Monday. What do you think about these extraordinary shoes.

Friend Friday: Beauty Products

This week's Friend Friday questions were a no brainer you know how we girls love ourselves some beauty products and this week Katy from Modly Chic has Beauty products as the topic here's what I had to say.

1. What's your favorite drug store makeup product and your favorite higher-end product?

IMAN COSMETICS - Second to None Cream to Powder this gives me that flawless looking skin I purchased this one day when I couldn’t make it to the mall to the MAC counter and I was pleasantly surprised. It can be found in certain Walgreen’s, Ulta, Target aw well as other select retailers and the great part about this product is it only cost $14.99

My high end purchase would which is really not that high end                      

2. Is there one type of product that is your go-to, can't live without?

Yes, I can not live without Burt’s Bees replenishing lip Balm with pomegranate oil, I tend to gets those irritating cracks on the sides of my lips and this is the only product I have found that actually helps. I love this stuff.

3. What's the best hair product you've ever used?

Foam Wrap-Set Lotion leaves my hair nice and soft and very easy to manage

4. Fess up, what's the worst beauty look you've tried to rock and look back at now with a little shame or apprehension that you actually did that?

At home false eyelashes, I tried them several years ago when they were all the rage. I went out one night with a few friends and let’s just say when I made it back home I looked like a hot mess, Lesson learned false lashes for me…see a professional.

5. When it comes to beauty products, we all use the same basic products. What do you use that helps show off your personal flare and personality?

I never leave home without mascara and lipstick/gloss these are my staples like most girls and I always feel my best with these two items.

Jennifer Hudson: Extraordinary Style

 

It's rare I post celebrity fashions but there are times when a girl needs to make an exception and this is one of them. I love Jennifer Hudson's look for the 2011 Oscars she looks so well put together her hairstyle fits perfectly with this gorgeous Versace silk  gown she looks confident and flawless. It's definitely a "New dawn, a New day" can't you just hear her belting that from her  repetitive Weight Watchers commercial.. yeah! go J-HUD do the darn thang!!

Tea Time Tuesday: Tote This!

 

Yes, I did take a few days off for my birthday..Yeah! and I had a lovely birthday I might add thanks to my loving family. Now on to Tea Time Tuesday's . I am in love with this canvas tote from Thursday Friday  it's a lightweight canvas tote emblazoned with an image of the Hermes Birkin from every angle (the bottom even has little studded feet printed on!) and are in such high demand that there's been a three month wait list but the great thing about these totes are the price $35  unlike the $5,000 price tag on the Birkin. This is a great way to maximize your style while toting your items with style. This bag is extraordinary and I'm waiting for my order to arrive, but until it arrives check out this plastic tote I purchased in Ross  the other day(gotta love Ross) it's a green purse printed on the front and a yellow purse printed on the back and it was only $2.99 tell me ladies what do you think about these totes, ordinary of extraordinary?
