Seek & you shall find! Mirrored picture frames

I am so excited to share with you these Awesome! 8x10 mirrored frames I scored   last weekend. I was being my typical self out and about Saturday just window shopping and hoping to find some major deals. I ventured into Michaels where I picked up a few things and came across these gorgeous mirrored frames. Michaels had them for $49.99 (8x10) and $59.99 (11x14). Now, this girl is all about trying to save money, however  I really wanted this frame and was talking myself into biting the bullet and just getting it 😏. When I went to check out the cashier informed me that the frames were actually 50% off but only til Sunday which I was so overjoyed to hear because this now put the frames at $25 and $30 so I decided to hit a few more shops and swing back by to purchase them. I left Michaels without the mirrored frames and headed for Target and Ross and you guys I am so glad I did! As I strolled through Ross and was about to leave what did I see on a end shelf! ..a lovely 4x6 ....you guessed it...mirrored picture frame the Exact one I had seen earlier in Michaels, now you know my eyes almost exploded from my head! So I went down the picture frame isle hoping to find the 8x10 size and lying there on the very bottom shelf shining and sparkling just waiting for me to find them!..Yup the 8x10 Mirrored picture frames! The one Michaels wanted $49.99 for They had 2 of them left and I grabbed them both immediately and get this, are you sitting down? They were only $11.99 each! I was elated!! I was Happy! happy! Happy! And needless to say I did Not return to Michaels, so ladies always look, search and look again because you may just find the deal of your dreams if you're willing to hunt around. Let me know what you think.
I was able to get 2 even cheaper than 1   at half price at Michaels.......yea!!!!!
                   See only $11.99!!!
Sorry not a great photo. I ❤️ them!

Kitchenaid Makeover!

Hello everyone I'm back, it's been a long time since I've posted anything, however today, I am so excited! To be sharing with you my Kitchenaid mixer makeover. My hubby gave me this mixer for Christmas several years ago and originally it was black, I've since updated my decor and wanted it in a nice bright yellow, but could not justify spending $350-$400 on a perfectly good mixer for the sake of a new color. So check out my DIY on painting my Kitchenaid mixer from Black to yellow and let me know what you think, I was quite pleased with the outcome. It's amazing what you can do with a few cans of spray paint.

Products I ❤️

How many times have you picked up beauty products that you've read raves about (umm huh) only to be sadly disappointed well, I have two products that I absolutely Love. For starters they do exactly what they promise and that's all a girl can ask for. My first fave is Revlon Gel Nail base coat this stuff holds the polish for at least 7-8 days, (at least it does for me anyway) you can pick it up at Walmart, Target or any drug store for around $6-7 bucks, and it works with any nail polish Love this stuff...Loooves it!!

My second Fave is the best $1.99 I've ever spent, at times I suffer from severe dry lips (if I'd just drink more water) and sometimes they crack slightly in the corners ....I know not cute at all, but this stuff is the Business or as Shaquille O'Neal would say "Da Biz-Za-Niss"! It really coats and holds the moisture in/on your lips and heals the cracks! Amen to that! I picked it up at Whole Foods and since it's a Whole Foods product, in store or online would be where you can pick it up,  don't just take my word for it, try it for yourself I'm sure your cracks will thank you!

What are a few of your fav beauty products & why, I'd love to add another thing to my shopping
   list!

Thrift Fashion Finds (Green vintage pants)

What's up guys! I know it's been a long time but I've been working on some things, like my health and really trying to focus on being healthy and active. I can truly say I needed the time to handle my business and focus on myself. Now that I've addressed those issues (and still working on them) I'm ready to resurface to my blog and what better place to start than with a thrift post. These green vintage pants I absolutely love. I found them hanging in my local Salvation Army and I had to have them. When I purchased them I didn't even know what I would pair them with but when I got them home and began to go through my closet I knew this black blazer would do the trick. I paired them with green vintage accessories and Guess patent leather ankle strapped wedges, and the show was over! I love this combo so much (I apologize for the picture quality) it's classy and comfortable and it didn't break the bank total price for pants $3.25. So hit the thrift shops you never know what you might find.

What was your last Thrift purchase?

Fall Must Haves 2012

Wow, where has the year gone? with fall barely 2 weeks away it's time now to start thinking about your fall wardrobe. There are so many items and trends that could really set a girls wardrobe on fire this fall but I have narrowed my list down to what I consider must-haves for fall 2012. Color once again seems to be the trend. Big, bold, vivid color, so here are a few items if implemented into your wardrobe will have you as cool as a cucumber this fall. Blazers are never out of style try one out this fall in a bold color to really add pop to your existing wardrobe the ones here are from Gap and run around $88. Shoes, shoes, shoes a girl can never have enough and I don't know about you but this girl lives for a great wedge, these are from Steve Madden and they also can be found online at Steve Madden.com or at Macy's. To keep all of your items handy you must have a great tote and clutch bags are this years "it" bag, try picking one up at retailers such as Target, Forever 21 and also Thrift shops. And last but certainly not least a plum lip this fall is going to take your look from everyday to runway, try if you haven't already a bold lip color from the plum family feel free to test out the shades to make sure you find one that fits your style and that your comfortable wearing. Here are just a few items that will keep you right on trend this fall when mixed and matched with the right items already in your closet. Don't be afraid to step outside the box and choose colors and patterns you wouldn't normally try and make sure you try them on before you buy to ensure they fit properly and also that you really like them. It takes a little time in the dressing room but is well worth it. I Hope this points you in the right direction and let me know what your must haves are for this fall.

Run Get That Monday: Neosporin Lip Health Daily Hydration

There are so many things I love til it's hard at times to choose what I want to post so a lot of the times as I'm sure you've noticed lately I post nothing at all ...lol! but today I want to share with you guys an item that I can not .. I repeat  I can not live without this stuff is like liquid gold to me. I suffered for what seemed like years with dry cracked lips, I mean dry. I thought maybe because I constantly wear lipstick and lip gloss all the time this is what was drying out my lips, so of course I bought every lip balm, chap stick, carmex, you name it. Whatever claimed it was for dry lips,  I purchased with no luck at all only drier lips. However thanks to a random night of surfing YouTube (Big shot out to Color Me Beautiful) I discovered Neosporin Lip Health Daily Hydration an the next day I was all over it and I'm here to tell you, if you suffer from dry lips this is what the golden ticket  was to Willy Wonka, a Winner! It really works it can be worn alone or under your lipsticks and glosses  and I absolutely love it and again it really works. It can be purchased from most drugstores and of course Wal-mart and Target for under $5 bucks. It's definitely a staple for your purse and make up bag. So if your Lips  are ever in need of a little TLC Run Get  Neosporin Lip Health Daily Hydration, you'll be so glad you did.

Nothing Ordinary Style was out when they ran across Melissa Williams wearing these "sick" shoes from Bumper they are fun yet fashionable. These shoes are everything but ordinary which is why I love them. Melissa is a major shopper and die hard shoe lover, she snatched theses cute numbers up on Ebay for around $60. Melissa loves to mix up her style with bold pieces and she certainly mixed it up with these Hot kicks!

Style File Monday: Loving my sequins

If you've followed my blog for awhile you probably know how much I love bling and to be exact blinged out accessories. Anything sparkly and shiny makes my heart skip a beat and  these next three items certainly bring joy to my heart. It's my belief that everything we own reflects our personal taste and style,  from the shoes we wear,  the hairstyle we rock to the hand bags we tote. Whether  you're trying or not, everything expresses your style so why not express it like you mean it. Right now sequins are all the rave and since  I'm not brave enough or let's just say I have not found a sequined item of clothing I like well enough yet,  I decided to get my sequined fix with these accessories.

From Trash to Treasure: Thrift store makeover!

I was never one to really thrift shop until about a year ago, and now I love it, it's my new obsession. I know the thought of someone else's butt dwelling in a garment before you, can be a bit overwhelming but hey that's why we have dry cleaners right?...right!  I have found great pieces for pennies and once their laundered they look brand new. The thrill is in the hunt, going in not knowing what you're going to find, that's the exciting part. This brings me to my trash to treasure. We all know that clutches are one of the hottest trends right now and these clutches I found although cute,  had a few scars from the previous owners. I don't only look for clothing but anything that has stylish flair. Take a look at how I turned these items from ordinary to extraordinary!

Bronze/leopard clutch $2.00 (GW)  Beige Mesh clutch $3.00 (GW)   Blue V shaped $3.00  (GW S.C)

After Products found in Michaels Crafts & Dollar Tree Total cost $6.27

What's you favorite Trash to Treasure ? tell me, I'd love to know!

Trying to house break her has been a chore and the hubs is about to throw her out with the bath water. Boom Boom Pow

Hey Loves, Happy Friday yeah (confetti falling, loud applause) and I couldn't be happier. I'm ready to kick back and relax and possibly check out Red Tails at the movies with the hubs, sounds like it's going to be a great movie. Today's post was inspired by a trip we took to St. Louis a few years ago. I met this young lady (hey Tulane) she was fiercely fashionable and wearing this enormous flower pin, I'm talking huge and I Loved it! Needless to say after speaking with her (we became friends) she told me she purchased the pin months ago so there was not a pin to be had in St. Louis and boy did I look. So what's a girl to do, she makes her own. You know how it is when you see something you like , you have to have it... right? I love my pins I have them in all colors and every time I wear them I get "Where did you get those" Now let me warn you these are not for everyone but if you like over the top this Boom Boom Pow may just be for you.

Tea Time Tuesday: Clean & Clear morning burst

Hey loves, thought I would share with you one of the many things I have grown to love and can't seem to live without. Yeah , it's that serious. It's so serious in fact I told the hubs to please have this item in my Christmas stocking lol! (*side note and he did.) If you didn't know I really don't  consider myself a morning person even though I'm up most mornings before 6 am . I guess I am a morning person (If only I didn't have to go to work). If that makes sense, anyway this stuff Morning Burst shine control facial cleanser is  one of my favorite products in my morning regimen. When I jump in the shower, I lather it up on my face and it seems instantly I'm awake and perked right up. I also use it after working out, it  makes me feel so much better and it really keeps my skin pretty clear as well.  It has this awesome smell of citrus and contains lemongrass and fruit extracts which is what really gets me going, and these little blue and yellow beads that burst all over your face while applying, it's my treat for getting up. Okay! I think you can tell by now how much  I dig this stuff so if you need a little pick me up in the mornings other than Starbucks, check this product out I'm sure it will help you Rise and Shine!

Extraordinary Man: Martin Luther King Jr.

Today would not be complete if I dare not post on MLK. I am so grateful for all he has done to better the lives of not only blacks but minorities as a whole. His endless quest for  freedom  and relentless determination for what he believed in is much more than inspiring but life changing. I also can't forget to mention the countless other civil rights leaders that were in the trenches with him battling for freedom. Thank you for taking the weight of freedom on your shoulders and fighting for us, your dream enabled others the right to attain their dreams.

Martin Luther King Jr. an Extraordinary man with an Extraordinary Dream!

How has MLK's dream changed or affected your life?

Weekend Chilling

Hey  all, hope you had a great weekend I certainly did. I did absolutely nothing except hangout around the house with my fam, surf the web  while catching up on some of  my blog reads. The hubs and I did run out to do a little shopping however it was nothing serious,  you know run to the grocery store, stop out for a quick bite to eat and oh yeah our favorite little treat run through the drive thru at Mickey D's for a cone. Hey I love McDonalds cones and there only 150 calories  and they cost a dollar heeeeey, cant beat that with a bat. So that was the gist of my weekend. Now let me face Monday because Lord knows I don't like Mondays oh wait that was last year this year I Love Mondays .......NOT!! I 'm working on it LOL!!!!!!
